Vitamin D is FIVE TIMES more effective than the flu vaccine

Added 22.11.2010

A randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study (translation: the most unbiased and accurate type of scientific study) carried out on children says flu vaccines only stop infection by 8%, BUT the sunshine vitamin can put the brakes on flu infection by over 50%. We are not surprised one bit by this piece of news; there are hundreds of studies backing vitamin D benefits, but these are often heavily criticised and undermined by the pharmaceutical industry - without any scientific basis of course. Hint: money talks. Nonetheless, it's always gratifying to have a study such as this one published in a major medical journal.

Why choose vitamin D over the flu vaccine?

If you still need convincing why vitamin D is the better way to go, take a look at these facts:

Flu vaccine
Vitamin D

Dr. Bo Nielsen's comments:

Next time you or someone in your family or circle of friends sneezes, and before you panic and rush to the doctor to get a flu jab, you might want to rethink how vitamin D may be a better and more effective solution.
